Just 5 years after taking a leap of faith and leaving his job at Wawa to pursue his music full time, Joshua Mitchell has been able to make a name for himself in Philly and beyond thanks to his soulful and catchy original music which touches on topics of his grand aspirations, love, lust, betrayal, the thrill of the night Life, and his unwavering confidence. Joshua’s music has accumulated over 200,000 streams, and thanks to his performances that he has taken all around the country, he has been able to garner over 70,000 followers across social media platforms.
Since the summer of 2021, Joshua has cemented himself as a staple to the Philadelphia nightlife scene with the release of two dance singles; “Departed For The Evening” and “ Fill Up The Room”. Both songs accumulating over 50,000 streams thanks to inventive marketing strategies utilizing the power of tiktok, Instagram, and twitter; as well as the curation of successful event series surrounding the singles, like ‘Departed: Ben Arsenal & Friends’.
Joshua has continued to showcase his genre bending range with the release of classic RnB slow jams like "“Talking Dirty”, House and Disco tracks like “The Circle” & “Night Shift” and Funk filled pop bops like “Stardust”, Heartfelt ballads like FLY, and Feel Good songs like Flower Fields.
In December of 2023 Joshua dove deeper into his visual identity with his directorial debut alongside Liam Rosay for the music video to his fastest growing single “The Circle”. With Joshua writing the story and handling the creative direction, this video puts his artistic mind on full display and serves as a great introduction to who he is.
